Oh Where, Oh Where has my little blog gone...

I couldn't ever figure out how to fix the heading, but I decided that if I waited to post til it was fixed, I was never going to post again. So it may not be as pretty to look at, but here it goes.

I haven't written since the beginning part of November, so let me do a quick recap. We ended up spending Thanksgiving day in Manti. My mom and Paul were headed there and invited us down. It was a fun day and the kids really enjoyed spending time with Grandpa and Grandma. A couple weeks prior to that, Izzy was officially diagnosed with Celiac's so we were doing a very strict Gluten-Free diet. We were a little worried about her not being able to eat any dessert, but Grandpa, feeling bad for her, went out and bought her, her own individual ice cream cups. She thought it was the best thing ever. So much so, that she demanded them again for Christmas. I was able to take some fun pictures of Mom and Paul while we were there.

December was packed full, as always. Some highlights were
-Nate singing with an acapella group.
-Daily Advent activities
-Dinner theater at Desert Star with Nate's work
-Lots and Lots of family for Christmas

After Christmas we decided to take a last minute trip to Vegas. Nate had some extra time off, and we hadn't stayed with my Dad for a while, so we decided to go for New Years. We had a great time playing with cousins, doing a lot of "Just Dance", my current favorite being the ABBA version. We were able to celebrate Riian's birthday while we were there, and even though we do an un-birthday party with her in June with presents and the works, she still got quite a few from cousins and grandparents. Despite Riian kicking a rock through Grandpa's sliding glass door (which she is still paying off), we had a great time. I was even able to do a mini-photo shoot with all the kids

So a 10 things about Riian at 10

1. She is SUPER slow. She takes a very long time to do anything
2. She is very thoughtful. She doesn't like to see people sad. When it is her turn to pray she usually asks that if we see anyone who is sad we can help make them happy
3. She is very sporty. She loves sports of all kinds. I've had a few of the duty guards at the school tell me that she is the best one at all the sports at recess, often beating even the boys her age.
4. She is an incredible big sister. She always has something fun to play and really enjoys playing with her younger siblings.
5. She is very competitive. Not just in sports, but in everything. She likes to be the best.
6. She loves to eat. Both her brothers are very picky, so it is nice to have one that will eat anything I put down in front of her
7. She loves to help me cook.
8. She is a saver. Both of money and candy. I cleaned out her bedroom a little while ago and found stores of candy. I think she has more cash then anyone in the family right now
9. Even though she is very much the tom-boy. She likes to feel pretty every so often. Nate took her to a daddy-daughter dance last week. She was so excited to get dressed up and put on lip gloss and nail polish (dark blue, but still)
10. She is very quiet. She's not shy, but she is content to stand in the background and not be noticed.

We love you Riian and are so glad that you are a part of our family.

As the new year approaches, I think all of you should make a New Years resolution to read my blog more, on second thought, since I haven't made a resolution to write more, that may not work. Never mind
