Happy Fathers Day!

As much as I dislike Mother's day. I do like Father's day. I think Father's aren't recognized as often as they should be. We often take for granted all the things that they do and just expect them to do it. I appreciate both my Fathers for the hard workers they are. For the great Grandfather's they are to my children. I appreciate my husband for the great man that he is. For the amazing father he is as well as amazing husband, which I believe is one way to be an excellent father. I know with all the nagging I do, I don't show my gratitude for this man often enough, but I love him and couldn't imagine a better father for my children. Happy Father's Day to all those Fathers out there.

Now for what we've been doing. Two weeks into the summer and we are as busy as ever. I keep wondering when we're going to have our lazy days of summer. Cole and Riian were still finishing up their baseball season. This past week was tournament. In the tournament they get to play until they lose two games. Riian lost both her first games so she was out pretty quick. Cole was able to play 3 games. We were really proud of his team because they made it farther then the 1st and 2nd ranked teams.

Riian's favorite position was catcher. She was a great catcher and rarely let a ball get by her.

She was also one of the stronger hitters on her team and would often hit it into the outfield allowing a couple of players to run home.

Cole played outfield. He was either right or left field. For one game they had him on 3rd and 2nd base. He was also a great hitter and hit a few doubles allowing people to run home. His coach wants him to practice pitching over the year because he thinks he could be a good pitcher.

In the midst of the craziness, we took a weekend trip to Vegas. Nate and I stayed in a hotel Friday night while the kids stayed with Aunt Shea. They went to a pool party and had a great time, and then had a BBQ with Grandpa. Then Cole and Riian went to see Seussical Jr with Shea and Riley. The next day Nate and I got back as the kids were swimming again. They loved the water. Izzy had a life jacket on and loved having the freedom to swim where ever she wanted. Her favorite thing to do was flip herself on her back and float around the pool.

After everyone was done swimming we went back to Shea's house for a quiet afternoon. Apparently the day before had worn everyone out because it didn't take too long for this to happen...

On Sunday we spent the morning with everyone before we left. Izzy made Grandma read her a book

Cole played games with Zoey.

He is very good about playing with the little kids. He also loved to carry Bia around and most of the time she was with him.

We arrived home Sunday evening in time for dinner, baths and bed. It was a fun weekend and it was nice to be away from the business of home. Thankfully baseball season is over, at least for Cole and Riian, so our evenings will be a little more free. The kids are still in Joseph and they love that.

I'm off now to make what I hope will be a yummy dinner for my favorite man.

If you come visit us, I promise to let Izzy swim to her hearts content. And Cole can play with any of our little ones. Promise.

As always I loved seeing the pictures of your kids. I'm looking forward to seeing them in person this week. Travel safely!
