Izzy was able to attend a princess tea party at the local library. She dressed up in a princess gown and had snacks and made a crown and read princess stories. She thought it was great fun.

She has also been doing a lot of painting and drawing inside because of the rain and snow that I mentioned earlier.

On Thursday the older 3 kids went with Nate to work for their annual Take your Daughters and Sons to work day. 1-800-Contacts goes all out for this. The kids break up into different age groups and rotate through the different areas of the company doing fun activities that teach them about what goes on in each division. In marketing they were able to draw posters to advertise for the upcoming film festival they do every summer. In the kitchen they were able to decorate their own cookies, they made their own business cards, they learned how telephones work, they made ping pong ball contraptions out of construction paper, kids yoga in the health center, in finance they did a mock NBA draft, and they did a mock assembly line. They each had a badge made just like dads that they could wear all day.

While we were at Nate's work the kids were enthralled with the tulips. It's been to yucky to go outside so appreciating the spring flowers hasn't really happened this year. They loved all the colors and were excited to smell them

That's about it for us. Nate, Cole, Riian and Jack all auditioned and made it into Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The rehearsals start this week and the show runs the last two weekends in July. Nate and I sat down with the calendar and tried to figure out how we were going to squeeze everything in. Luckily it's only the Month of May and then the kids are out of school and they can do rehearsals and practices during the day.
