34

I know this post is a little late considering my birthday was last week, but spring break was this week and things were a little hectic around here. Not that we went anywhere or did much, but al the kids were home and they all wanted to use the computer so my computer time was greatly diminished. This is the real reason I send them to school. More computer time for me.

Last week I tured 34. I remember when I thought 34 was old. But as I turned it, I didn't feel old. And although I sometimes think that I'm still in my early 20's I didn't have any problem with turning 34. I think that is because I am where I want to be right now. I'm doing what I want to do. I'm happily married to a man I truly, truly love. I have 4 beautiful children. And though my life isn't perfect and we still go through many trials, I am happy and actually look forward to the days and years ahead. I look forward to my kids growing older, and seeing what kind of people they become. I love the ages that they are now and try to take as many pictures and make as many scrapbook pages as possible so that I can remember this time, but I do look forward to the upcoming years.

There wasn't any pictures taken of my birthday, I am the official camera taker and no one knows how to work my camera. But Nate made me dinner and my favorite yellow cake with chocolate frosting. He made the frosting from scratch and it was really good. He also bought me 3 tickets to Les Mis at the end of May. I haven't seen the show for many years and this time Cole gets to go with us. I think he was more excited then I was.

This past week was spring break. We stayed home and just hung out. Played with some friends, went swimming one day, but really just took it easy. This upcoming week baseball officially starts for both Cole and Riian so this was our last week of calm before the storm.

Right before spring break Cole's class had a "wax museum". They had to read a biography about someone from America's history. They then dressed up as that person and people could walk around the "museum" and push a button they had made and they would tell some a little about that person. Cole's teacher gave him permission to do a joint project with his friend. They were the Wright brothers. Cole was Wilber Wright because he was the taller of the two.

Another present that I got for my birthday was Just Dance Kids. The kids and I have really enjoyed playing the game. Sorry for the poor quality of these pictures, but if I only posted the good pictures I took, half of our lives would go undocumented.

School starts tomorrow and we are all counting down the weeks until summer. 7, just in case you were wondering.

I didn't realize that Cole and Jack were dressed up for the project! Oh, wait, that's his friend Danny...

We love Just Dance Kids. Keri gave us Broadway Hits and that is a favorite as well - you should ask for it when you're REALLY old next year!

Happy (late) Birthday!!

I could have written your post...we did the exact same thing for our spring break. It was fun having Riian over so much this week (and Cole too!) He was so cute with my little guys on the trampoline! You have very sweet kids.

Summer will be fun. I'm sure, lots of cul de sac games, BBQs...I can't wait.

I'm getting to a blog post for our blog...but today, it's clean up :) and I'm enjoying the q.u.i.e.t.
