We then went to play on the playground so we could dry off before getting back in the car. This playground had a zip line and the 3 oldest "kids" took turns on that.
Yes, that is my husbands rear. He decided the zip line looked like fun and he was anxious to try.
Riian and Cole also finished up T-ball and baseball. Riian had her best friend Jenna on her team so it was a great year for her. Cole is learning the game and learning how to be a better baseball player. This year Cole started playing team pitch. Meaning the players pitch to each other. It quite the learning curve, for both the kids pitching and the kids hitting. Cole really learned how to get a good swing in, and made it on base all but 1 or 2 times that he batted. He only got hit in the kidney's once, but he's young and resilient, so no harm done. He tried his hand at pitching once, and he said it was a lot harder the it looks, and he tried to be catcher once too, but only lasted about 5 minutes before he wouldn't run to the ball anymore because he was so hot in all the catcher gear.

I have discovered that all my kids are very fashion conscience and color coordinated, as Jack showed me his skills this month

We spent a week this month in Fort Collins. Nate's dad died of a massive heart attack on the 27th. It was very sudden and unexpected. So we took off the week and traveled up there. There was a lot of things to take care of, and there are still some that are being sorted out. It was good to go over there and be with his siblings right now. The service was held on that Thursday the 31st. Our amazing friends, dropped anything they had going on that day, to come to the funeral. The guys sang at the funeral and I sobbed and sobbed. We were able to spend an evening with our good friends and that was really great.
A few days after we got back, my mom came out to see Cole in Suessical the Musical ( he missed his opening night because we were in Fort Collins, but his directors were very understanding). He played one of the Wickersham brothers, a group of no-good monkeys. He was quite the performer and it was fun to watch. My mom and I then flew to Seattle to see my brother. We saw Teatro Zinzanni while we were there. A great dinner theater type event. It was really really great. I laughed so hard I couldn't breath. We ate the most amazing ice cream at Mora's on Bainbridge Island. And we just laughed and had a great time.
Now it is time to wind down the summer and get ready for school. It starts a week from tomorrow, so we have a lot to do to prepare for that. With 2 kids gone full time and one at preschool 3 days a week, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my time. I could spend it cleaning house, but what fun would that be.

I'm glad that you've been having some summer fun. It was good to see you all but it wasn't a fun reason that you were in in FC.
I like seeing all the fun pictures of your kids. I like knowing your kids a little bit and being able to see their personalities reflected in the pictures. You have a great family.
