Brrrs, Blaahhs, and Beginnings (oh my)

This past week has been very uneventful yet eventful in the Brown household. Here in Utah it has not stopped snowing since Christmas. The kids have gotten plenty of use out of their snow bibs this year. I actually didn't look at the total of snow we've recieved, but judging by the drifts on the side of the road and in my backyard, it's probably close to 100 feet. I took some pictures to document the depth of the snow. These are all taken in my backyard.

Under that yellow roof is some steps, a little landing and a slide that is all hidden underneath the snow.
This is Nate's shed. Notice the snow covering the doors so you can't get into the shed. It's also noteable that he actually had shoveled a path from our back door in front of his shed about a week ago and since then it has snowed so much that it has covered his doors again. We have all been combating this cold by staying inside and drinking hot chocolate.

Unfortunately our household has also been sick this past week. I stayed home from church last week with Isabelle and then consequently got sick myself. I ended up staying home from church yesterday with Isabelle and Cole. Riian was coughing all through the night and Jack woke up this morning with a hacking cough and headache. Then Nate came home this evening feeling ill. Thanks goodness for sisters who will come over and stay with your kids so you can take long naps.

Our other big news is that Nate will be starting a new job soon. He will be working for a company called RemedyMD. I'm not sure exactly what he'll be doing (I just figured out a few months ago what he does now and he's been doing that for the past 7 years), but he says that it's a good direction for his career to go. It was hard to make the decision. The company that he was working for was an excellant company and they treated him very well. He loved the people and the company, but in the end, this job was, as I said, a good direction for his career to go. He will be starting there at the end of the month. We are excited, yet a little nervous.

Lastly here are some more pictures, for all the grandparents and distant friends and relatives. No there aren't any of Cole, but that's mainly because he's in school all day. I do love him just as much as the others
