I was musing the other day about the advances in technology. This came about as my 8 year was pleading with me to get him an e-mail address because he "really needed one". I thought to myself , "Who's going to email him?" Certainly not his friends that he sees everyday at school, nor his parents. Maybe Grandma Nisey, but that's only after making fun of me for getting him one. Also, he can barely type. Nevermind spell all that well. I just couldn't see the point in getting him an email address. And then that got me thinking about all that computers are used for these days. I remember in High School having to go to the computer lab to type a paper (typing being optional at the time), and having big ol' computers that were hooked up to those printers that printed the paper that you had to take the perferated sides off, you know what I'm talking about. I didn't even really start using email until college, and then it was few and far between. Now I spend alot of my day on the computer. Email is the first thing I check every morning (from my two accounts). I scrapbook digitally, so I'm on the computer doing that alot, and I do some work for the company Nate works for, all from the comfort of my chair, usually in sweats with my hair piled on top of my head. My husband's whole livelyhood depends on technology. So while I was musing about all this, I came downstairs yesterday to find this:

Yes that is my 6 year old and 3 year old, both listening to iPods. Both singing different songs (from the musical Hairspray, my family's current favorite). They both know how to use them and find the songs they want. Jack walks around with the shuffle attached to his clothes, the majority of the day, singing and dancing as he walks. So I laughed and grabbed my camera (my technologically advanced digital SLR) and shot some pictures to show all of you on my online blog. Ain't technology grand! I suppose when I see the 10 month old making a phone call, then I can be worried but until then, we'll just enjoy all our toys. Oh, and I didn't get my 8year old his own email account, at least not yet.

Gotta love technology. I certainly love the pictures. :)
can i have the baby....look at that picture on the bottom...she's precious.
I just found your blog. Yeah for another family blogger to keep up with. I also got a new camera for Christmas but don't know enough about it yet to make the switch from the trusty ol' point n' shoot digital in my purse. And then, alas, no babies around to take pictures of. Yours are awfully cute!
Thanks for writing this.
